The Department of Film and Media Studies and the Institute for the Liberal Arts at Swarthmore College present "Visualizing Media Futures", March 21 & 22

Visualizing Media Futures explores digital media at the intersection of science and technology, art and design, humanities and the public sphere. The symposium will bring faculty, students, and alumni together with technology innovators, educators, artists, and media professionals. David Linde ’82, CEO Lava Bear Films and the producer and executive behind some of the world’s most groundbreaking and commercially successful films (Biutiful; Y Tu Mamá También; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) will speak Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m., and Friday includes a full day of panels and demonstrations with speakers including Sheldon Brown, Shawn Brixey, Richard Rinehart, and Holly Willis.
